Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experiencedSAP BTP Lead / CAPM + Node.js Architect to lead end-to-end SAP BTP solution design, development, and delivery for a high-visibility transformation program.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise inSAP BTP, CAPM, Node.js, SAP HANA Cloud, CDS, BTP services, cloud deployment, DevOps, integrations, security, and application architecture. The role requires strong technical leadership and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing BTP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-endSAP BTP solution architecture, development, and delivery.
• Define BTP architecture leveraging:
  • SAP Cloud Foundry
  • CAPM / CAP
  • Node.js
  • SAP Build
  • SAP HANA Cloud
• Gather business requirements and document requirements and technical solutions in JIRA.
• Design and developdata models using CDS and deploy them to HANA Cloud/Database.
• Develop applications and services usingCAPM with Node.js.
• Develop usingCDS Query Language (CQL).
• Work extensively withSAP HANA SQL, Stored Procedures, and Views.
• Perform query tuning and database performance optimization.
• Design and implement solutions using SAP BTP services and components, including:
  • Destinations
  • Connectivity
  • XSUAA
  • Event Mesh
  • Job Scheduler
  • Multi-Target Applications (MTA)
• Design and implementSAP BTP cloud deployment and DevOps processes.
• Evaluate multiple architectural options and communicate the pros, cons, and recommended approach to stakeholders.
• Develop and implement solutions using:
  • App Router
  • SAP Security
  • SAP UI5
• Lead development teams across:
  • Integrations
  • Extensions
  • Workflows
  • APIs
  • Cloud-native applications
• Partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and functional leads to translate requirements into scalable BTP solutions.
• Ensure solutions follow SAP best practices for security, compliance, quality, and performance.
• Establish development standards, DevOps processes, quality gates, and release management practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and oversight to onshore and offshore development teams.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, delivery challenges, and stakeholder expectations across multiple workstreams.
• Collaborate with SAP, hyperscaler, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure solution quality, performance, scalability, and successful delivery throughout the program lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience withSAP BTP.
• Strong expertise inCAPM / CAP with Node.js.
• Experience withSAP Cloud Foundry.
• Strong experience withCDS data modeling and CDS Query Language (CQL).
• Hands-on experience deploying CDS models toSAP HANA Cloud.
• StrongNode.js development experience.
• Strong knowledge ofHANA SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, and query tuning.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP technology experience.
• 5+ years leading SAP BTP implementations.
• Experience inLife Sciences or other regulated industries.
• Experience working with enterprise architecture and large-scale transformation programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with onshore/offshore development teams.
• Ability to evaluate architectural alternatives and clearly communicate trade-offs.
