Role Overview
Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations using SAP CPI (Integration Suite), enabling secure, scalable, and resilient connectivity across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build integrations using SAP CPI Integration Suite.
• Develop file-based integrations (SFTP, CSV, XML, Flat Files) and API-based integrations (REST, SOAP, OData).
• Build and maintain Integration Flows (iFlows), message mappings, transformations, content modifiers, routers, and splitters/aggregators.
• Develop Groovy scripts for custom transformations, validations, enrichment, dynamic routing, and error handling requirements.
• Implement robust exception handling, monitoring, retry mechanisms, alerting, and operational support processes.
• Design integrations considering API throttling, rate limits, caching, performance optimisation, and resiliency patterns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across applications, middleware, network, and security layers.
• Support deployments, testing, production releases, and post-implementation support.
• Ensure integrations comply with enterprise security, logging, audit, and supportability standards.
Required Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.
• Solid understanding of integration concepts, middleware architecture, asynchronous and synchronous messaging patterns.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, XML, JSON, XSLT, and API integrations.
• Strong experience in Groovy scripting, message mappings, splitters, aggregators, routers, and exception subprocesses.
• Knowledge of API security and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, Basic Auth, Certificates).
• Experience implementing API rate limiting, throttling, retry patterns, and error recovery mechanisms.
• Strong debugging, monitoring, and production support capabilities.
• Experience integrating SAP and non-SAP applications in cloud and hybrid environments.
Preferred
• Experience with SAP API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors, and Integration Advisor.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing, and cloud platforms.
