Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Administrator and RAP Developer with strong expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) administration, cloud application management, and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) development.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering and maintaining the SAP BTP environment, managing cloud services and security, and developing scalable SAP applications using RAP, ABAP Cloud, and SAP S/4HANA. The candidate should have hands-on experience with SAP BTP account administration, connectivity, identity and access management, application deployment, and modern SAP development practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP BTP Administration

• Administer and maintain SAP BTP global accounts, directories, subaccounts, and entitlements.
• Manage Cloud Foundry environments, spaces, quotas, service instances, and application deployments.
• Configure and maintain SAP BTP services, including Destination service, Connectivity service, and relevant application runtime services.
• Manage user access, role collections, role assignments, and identity federation using SAP Cloud Identity Services and IAS/IPS, where applicable.
• Configure SAP Cloud Connector and establish secure connectivity between SAP BTP and on-premises SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems.
• Monitor platform usage, application health, service availability, and resource consumption.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, connectivity, deployment, and runtime issues.
• Support transport management and deployment processes using SAP Cloud Transport Management or other applicable CI/CD tools.
• Implement platform security, governance, operational monitoring, and access-control best practices.
• Manage service provisioning, configuration, lifecycle activities, and technical documentation.

2. SAP RAP Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain business applications using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Develop RAP-based applications using ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse.
• Build and maintain CDS view entities, data models, metadata extensions, and annotations.
• Implement managed and unmanaged RAP business objects.
• Develop behavior definitions, behavior implementations, validations, determinations, actions, and business events.
• Implement draft-enabled and non-draft-enabled applications, where required.
• Configure service definitions and service bindings to expose business objects through OData V4 and, where applicable, OData V2.
• Develop and consume APIs for integration with SAP BTP applications, SAP Fiori elements, and external systems.
• Implement authorization control using CDS access controls (DCL), RAP authorization concepts, and appropriate security mechanisms.
• Develop and enhance SAP Fiori applications using RAP-based services.
• Perform debugging, unit testing, performance optimization, code reviews, and defect resolution.
• Follow ABAP Cloud development principles, clean-core guidelines, and SAP extensibility best practices.
