SAP BASIS Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking aSenior SAP BASIS Engineer for a fully remote one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will provide senior-level SAP BASIS engineering and administration across multiple SAP landscapes, supporting system builds, upgrades, transports, high-availability environments, system copies, troubleshooting, and technical support for SAP applications and infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Senior-level SAP BASIS administration experience.
• Experience supporting one or more SAP NetWeaver environments, including systems such as ECC, SRM, XI/PI, Enterprise Portal, and Business Intelligence.
• Experience building and supporting SAP systems usingABAP, Java, and HANA.
• Senior-level experience performingABAP and Java homogeneous system copies.
• Experience supporting SAP BASIS activities for bothSAP go-lives and upgrades.
• Experience supporting at least one complete SAP ECC lifecycle from development through production go-live.
• Strong troubleshooting experience in one or more of the following:
  • ALE/RFC
  • IDOC processing
  • Update processing
  • System communications
  • tRFC/qRFC
  • XI message processing
  • ABAP dumps and DEV trace analysis
• Experience with networking, Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux, and Java as they relate to SAP environments.
• Experience executing SAP transports using OS-level tools, TMS, and/or third-party transport tools.
• Experience providing technical support to SAP configurators and developers.
• Experience supporting multiple SAP landscapes simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks with minimal direction.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting highly available SAP environments.
• Advanced SAP HANA administration experience.
• Experience configuring and managing HANA clusters, scale-up, and scale-out environments.
• Experience with HANA installation, backup, upgrades, patching, add-ons, SLT, and BOBJ.
• Experience with CHARM, Wiley monitoring, and SAP Solution Manager diagnostics.
• Experience managing HANA schemas, data model objects, imports/exports, and SQL.
• Experience performing OS/database migrations to Linux.
• Experience supporting SAP Solution Manager, Data Services, Adobe Connect, or Virsa.
• Experience providing Oracle, Windows, Linux, and Unix support for SAP applications.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Experience with CCMS administration and configuration.
• Experience with Java NetWeaver administration and SLD strategies.
• Experience configuring Enhanced CTS+.
• ABAP debugging and performance-analysis experience.
• Experience with Rev-Trac, BI performance tuning, SAP SCMSNC, SAP archiving, or Vertex.
• Experience with Fiori and Personas administration.
• Experience supporting Agile practices for SAP cloud-based systems.

What You’ll Do

• Build new SAP systems across ABAP, Java, and HANA environments.
• Configure and support existing SAP systems.
• Execute transports using SAP and third-party transport technologies.
• Support high-availability SAP environments.
• Perform homogeneous system copies.
• Provide technical support to SAP developers and functional teams.
• Troubleshoot complex SAP technical issues across multiple application areas.
• Support concurrent SAP landscapes across multiple applications and environments.
• Support SAP upgrades, migrations, go-lives, and lifecycle activities.
• Troubleshoot system communications, integration issues, dumps, traces, and processing failures.
• Support HANA administration, patching, upgrades, backups, and related operational activities.
• Work with infrastructure, application, and technical teams to resolve system issues.
• Support additional SAP BASIS engineering and administration activities as required.

Pay

• Up to $100.00 per hour.
• No overtime premium.
