Job Title: IBM WTX Integration Architect (B2B/EDI, SAP)

Work Arrangement: Primarily Remote
Travel: Less than 30%, including travel to the client site in Irvine, CA, during UAT

Job Description

We are seeking an experiencedIBM WTX Integration Architect with strong expertise in B2B/EDI integration, IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX) 8.4, and SAP ERP integration. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience architecting and designing EDI maps for SAP S/4HANA integrations with customers and vendors.

This role will serve as the onsite coordinator between the client, and offshore developers, supporting integration architecture, design coordination, testing, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop EDI maps using IBM WTX 8.4 for SAP S/4HANA integrations with customers and vendors.

• Lead B2B/EDI integration design and implementation using IBM WTX or Mercator middleware.

• Design and configure WTX components, including type trees, maps, functional maps, systems, Launcher events, and Command Server.

• Work with IBM WTX Packs for EDI X12/EDIFACT and SAP R/3 integration.

• Design and support SAP integrations using IDoc/ALE, including basic types, partner profiles, and ports.

• Support EDI-to-SAP business flows, including orders, advance shipping notices (ASNs), invoices, forecasts, and inventory.

• Work with RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs), including 3A4, 3B2, 4A3, and similar standards.

• Coordinate with clients, and offshore development teams to ensure alignment on integration architecture, mapping requirements, and delivery.

• Support B2B gateways, EDI partner ecosystems, and Value-Added Network (VAN) setup.

• Configure and support SQL Server/ODBC, FTP/SFTP, and SMTP adapters.

• Provide production support, troubleshoot integration issues, and perform performance tuning for high-volume WTX environments.

• Support UAT activities and travel to the client site in Irvine, California, as required.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in B2B/EDI integration, with significant hands-on experience in IBM WTX or Mercator.

• Advanced experience with IBM WebSphere Transformation Extender 8.x, particularly WTX 8.4.

• Hands-on expertise in WTX design and development, including type trees, maps, functional maps, systems, Launcher events, and Command Server.

• Experience with IBM WTX Packs for EDI X12/EDIFACT and SAP R/3.

• Strong experience integrating EDI with SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA.

• Knowledge of SAP IDoc/ALE integration, including basic types, partner profiles, and ports.

• Experience designing and supporting EDI-to-SAP transactions for orders, ASNs, invoices, forecasts, and inventory.

• Experience with SQL Server/ODBC, FTP/SFTP, and SMTP adapters.

• Experience in production support and performance tuning for high-volume WTX environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RosettaNet PIPs, including 3A4, 3B2, 4A3, and similar standards.

• Experience with Axway or comparable B2B gateway platforms.

• Knowledge of EDI partner ecosystems and VAN setup.

• Strong client-facing experience in integration architecture and design.

• Experience coordinating onsite client activities and offshore development teams.

• Experience supporting UAT and integration testing for SAP and EDI implementations.
