- The customer is evaluating SAP ASE Cloud Edition and will making a licensing decision on Thursday, August 13th. They plan to provision/configure a non-prod Dev and Test environment. The environment will be used exclusively by development teams to build, configure, and validate integrations with the customer's application landscape. No production workloads or end-user applications will be hosted on the environment as part of this engagement.
- The consultant will be responsible for leading the technical implementation from initial discovery through deployment, configuration, and knowledge transfer.

- High Level Activities:
- Install and configure SAP ASE.
- Configure databases, devices, and storage.
- Configure users, roles, permissions, and security.
- Configure backup strategy appropriate for non-production environments.
- Configure monitoring and logging.
- Validate network connectivity.
- Support application connectivity and integration testing.
- Troubleshoot installation and configuration issues.
- Perform system validation and health checks.
- Document configuration settings.
- Deliver operational runbooks.
- Provide administrator knowledge transfer sessions.
- Review best practices for maintenance and patching.
- Assist customer during initial testing.
- Requirements:
- 5+ years administering SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE)
- Experience implementing SAP ASE Cloud Edition
- Database performance tuning
- Database backup and recovery
- Network connectivity and firewall troubleshooting
- Security and user administration
- Experience working with development and test environments
- Excellent documentation and customer communication skills
