About The Job:
- We are seeking a skilled SAP RAP Developer with 3-6 years of experience to design, develop, and support transactional applications and web APIs using the RESTful ABAP Programming (RAP) model.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SAP ABAP Cloud development, CDS views, behavior definitions, and building scalable, high-performance OData services.
- You will work closely with functional and cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions that align with business requirements while adhering to clean core and best development practices.
- Design and develop transactional applications and web APIs using SAP RAP framework.
- Work extensively with Core Data Services (CDS) views and behavior definitions to model business logic.
- Build and expose OData services for seamless integration with SAP Fiori/UI5 and other clients.
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and performant cloud-native solutions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Debug and optimize ABAP code to improve performance and reliability.
- Follow clean coding standards, development best practices, and version control processes.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill business requirements.
- Participate in the complete software development lifecycle – from requirement analysis and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Utilize development tools such as Eclipse ADT, Postman, Bruno, Cloud ALM, and git version control.
- Leverage the 3-tier extensibility model and cloud development best practices to extend SAP solutions.
- Continuously learn and apply new SAP technologies and frameworks relevant to ABAP Cloud and RAP.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 to 6 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, primarily focusing on SAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming) model.
- Strong experience designing and developing transactional applications and web APIs using RAP.
- Proficiency in Core Data Services (CDS) views and behavior definitions.
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing OData services.
- Solid understanding of SAP ABAP Cloud development environment.
- Solid understanding on SAP ABAP Classical ALV, OOALV, Module Pool, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, BAPI, BADI, BDC and other Enhancement Techniques
- Good knowledge of 3-tier extensibility model in SAP.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and familiarity with ABAP for HANA (preferred).
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Proficient in debugging and performance tuning techniques.
- Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services and tools.
- Experience using Eclipse ADT, Postman, Bruno, SAP Cloud ALM.
- Knowledge of git version control system and cloud development best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
- SAP certifications in ABAP or SAP Cloud Platform.
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 integration.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices using CTMS in SAP Cloud environment.
