SAP ABAP Developer

• We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SAP ABAP Developer with 6-8 years of hands-on experience, specializing in Sales Order Management (SOM) within the SAP environment.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying custom ABAP solutions to meet complex business requirements, particularly those related to subscription order management, billing, and fulfillment processes.
• This role requires deep technical proficiency in ABAP and a strong understanding of SAP SOM/BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) concepts.

Development and Technical Expertise

• Design, develop, modify, test, and implement custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements (BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements Spots), forms (Smart Forms, Adobe Forms), and workflows.
• Develop and maintain robust interfaces using various integration technologies (e.g., OData Services, REST/SOAP services, IDocs, RFCs).
• Optimize performance of existing ABAP code and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Provide technical expertise and solutioning for complex business scenarios within SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

Sales Order Management (SOM) Specific Focus

• Possess deep technical knowledge and experience working with the SAP SOM module, including its integration with other modules like SD, CRM, and especially SAP BRIM components (CC, CI, CA).
• Develop and enhance functionalities related to subscription contract management, product modeling, order provisioning, and master data synchronization within SOM.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SOM processes, including contract changes, terminations, pricing, and integration touchpoints.
• Work closely with functional consultants to translate complex SOM business requirements into robust technical specifications and solutions.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Prepare detailed technical design documentation, unit test plans, and release notes.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users.
• Support system testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.

• Total Experience : 6 to 8 years of dedicated SAP ABAP development experience.
• Domain Experience: Proven experience in SAP Sales Order Management (SOM) or SAP Subscription Billing/BRIM-related projects is mandatory.
• Project Experience : Experience with at least 2 full life-cycle SAP implementation projects.

Technical Skills

• Expert proficiency in classical and object-oriented ABAP programming.
• Strong experience with ABAP development tools: ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, ABAP Debugger, Code Inspector.
• Solid experience with interface technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData/CDS views).
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA development concepts (CDS views, AMDP, Fiori/UI5 integration) is a strong plus.
• Experience with performance tuning and analysis (ST05, SE30).

Functional Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of SAP SOM data model and business processes (order creation, contract activation, change processes).
• Working knowledge of integration points between SOM and other core SAP modules (SD, FI/CO).

Preferred Skills (Differentiators)

• Experience with SAP BRIM components (Convergent Charging - CC, Convergent Invoicing - CI, Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable - FICA/CA).
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) or other middleware technologies.
• Knowledge of SAP Workflow and Business Rule Framework plus (BRF+).
• SAP certification in ABAP or relevant functional area.
