Sanitation Manager MD

Summary:The primary role of the Sanitation Manager is to organize, manage and direct the activities of the sanitation crew in order to meet or exceed internal QC standards.

Responsibilities:

• Daily scheduling of sanitation personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to meet all daily sanitation requirements in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
• Track employee time, write performance reviews, and administer disciplinary actions if necessary.
• Ensure all scheduled plant sanitation activities for processing equipment is executed as defined in the SSOPs.
• Help coordinate appropriate chemical and safety training for all direct reports.
• Assist in overseeing the purchasing of sanitation supplies and operating within budget.
• Ensure proper concentrations of chemicals, and temperatures are reached to maintain effective cleaning.
• Promote safety to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in Food Manufacturing Quality/Sanitation
• Experience with HACCP and Sanitation programs.
• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
• Prior management experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work outside primary job responsibilities to support the business as needed.
