Our client, a leading food distribution and produce company, is seeking a Sanitation Associate I for its Orlando, FL facility. The Sanitation Associate I maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment throughout the facility, supporting daily sanitation operations by performing detailed cleaning tasks in refrigerated warehouse areas and other designated spaces while adhering to all company safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning of cooler areas and surrounding warehouse spaces
- Sweep, scrub, and maintain floors using manual cleaning methods and floor-scrubbing equipment
- Clean and sanitize trash cans, containers, and other facility equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, walkways, and common spaces
- Follow established sanitation procedures, safety standards, and food safety guidelines
- Properly use and handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation supplies
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/cold environment (0°F to 56°F)
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and sanitation supplies
- Understanding of safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow food safety guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse, cooler, or facility sanitation
- Experience operating floor-scrubbing equipment
- Food safety or sanitation certification
About the Role
- Contract duration: 640 total hours (approximately 16 weeks)
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
- Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
- Location: Orlando, FL (on-site)
- Travel: None required (0%)
