SANITARYWARE SALES REPRESENTATIVE (Durban, KZN)

Leading sanitaryware group are seeking an experienced Sanitaryware Sales Representative in Durban. This role is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience in a dedicated sanitaryware showroom by welcoming customers, providing expert advice, promoting and selling sanitaryware products, and supporting the growth of the department through exceptional service and sales performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide efficient and effective service to all customers entering the showroom.

2. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional and friendly service.

3. Understand customers’ project requirements and recommend suitable sanitaryware solutions.

4. Provide customers with the required application, product, and technical information.

5. Guide customers through complete bathroom solutions rather than individual product purchases.

6. Utilise effective sales and marketing techniques to maximise sales opportunities and upselling.

7. Process customer orders and explain the sales process, including payment, delivery, and dispatch arrangements.

8. Conduct telesales activities and follow up on quotations, outstanding orders, and customer enquiries.

9. Maintain a high standard of showroom presentation and product display.

10. Assist in achieving departmental sales targets and business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Grade 12 (Matric).

2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in the sanitaryware industry is essential.

3. Extensive knowledge of sanitaryware products is essential.

4. Retail showroom sales experience is essential.

5. Excellent customer service skills.

6. Strong sales and negotiation ability.

7. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

8. Above-average English verbal and written communication skills.

9. Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

10. Excellent time management, attendance record, and work ethic.

11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
