About the Role:Maaco in Murfreesboro, TN is looking for a skilled Sander, Masking & Taper to join our hardworking team! This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and craftsmanship will shine every single day. If you take pride in quality prep work and want to be part of a trusted name in the automotive service industry, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Sand vehicle surfaces to prepare for painting, ensuring smooth and even finishes
  • Apply masking tape and protective coverings to shield areas not designated for paint
  • Inspect surfaces for imperfections, rust, or damage prior to prep work
  • Use hand sanders, orbital sanders, and other abrasive tools effectively
  • Mix and apply body fillers and primers as needed during the prep process
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards
  • Collaborate with painters and body technicians to ensure seamless workflow
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in auto body sanding, masking, or paint prep preferred
  • Familiarity with hand and power sanding tools and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, body fillers, and primer application is a plus
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
