Bross Street Assisted Living is looking for a part-time Caregiver Assistant to support our team and our small community of older adults in our downtown Longmont home.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone interested in exploring a career in caregiving, healthcare, or senior services but who may not yet have caregiving experience or certifications.
The Caregiver Assistant works alongside our caregiving team and helps keep our residents' home clean, comfortable, organized, and welcoming. This position focuses primarily on housekeeping, laundry, kitchen support, and general household tasks while providing an opportunity to learn the first steps of working in an assisted living environment.
With a maximum of 11 residents, Bross Street offers a smaller, home-like setting where you can get to know our residents and learn what compassionate, person-centered support looks like.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Monday–Friday
- Primarily mid-day shifts
- A few hours per shift/week based on household needs

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with resident and household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting items away
- Help keep resident rooms clean, comfortable, and organized
- Complete general housekeeping such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces
- Clean and organize common areas throughout the home
- Assist with kitchen cleaning, dishes, counters, appliances, and general kitchen organization
- Help restock household and resident supplies
- Change bedding and assist with maintaining clean linens
- Support organization of closets, storage areas, and household supplies
- Assist with basic meal and dining-area cleanup as needed
- Help create a welcoming, home-like environment for residents
- Work alongside experienced caregivers and learn the basics of supporting older adults in an assisted living setting
- Follow Bross Street policies, procedures, infection-control practices, and resident privacy expectations
This position does not require medication administration or independent personal care responsibilities. It is designed as an entry point for someone who wants exposure to the caregiving field while building foundational skills and experience.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Interest in caregiving, healthcare, senior services, social services, or a related field encouraged
- Dependable and comfortable working independently on assigned tasks
- Willingness to learn and receive feedback
- Respectful and comfortable interacting with older adults
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Able to perform the physical demands of housekeeping, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the home
- Works in compliance with Bross Street policies, procedures, and protocols
