Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Release Manager to lead the planning, governance, coordination, and deployment of Salesforce releases across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end release management activities, ensure compliance with enterprise release processes, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive successful deployments with minimal business disruption. This role requires strong expertise in Salesforce platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, change management, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the Salesforce release calendar, roadmap, and deployment schedules.
Coordinate releases across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and custom Salesforce applications.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, Business Stakeholders, and DevOps engineers to ensure release readiness.
Manage deployments across Development, SIT, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.
Conduct release planning, impact analysis, dependency management, and risk assessments.
Ensure adherence to enterprise release governance, compliance, and change management processes.
Facilitate CAB (Change Advisory Board) reviews, approvals, and release communications.
Coordinate code freezes, deployment windows, rollback strategies, and post-release validation activities.
Manage release dependencies involving Salesforce integrations, middleware, and third-party systems.
Monitor deployment success metrics, release KPIs, incidents, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead emergency, patch, and hotfix deployments when necessary.
Provide regular release status updates, risk mitigation plans, and executive-level reporting.
Partner with support and operations teams to ensure smooth production transitions and post-deployment support.
Drive DevOps adoption and release automation initiatives to improve deployment efficiency and quality.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of overall IT experience.
4+ years of Salesforce Release Management, DevOps, or deployment management experience.
Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-team Salesforce release programs.
Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata deployment and environment management strategies.
Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce.
Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
Experience working with enterprise change management and release governance frameworks.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and risk management skills.

Copado Fundamentals or Copado Release Management Certification
