We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales and Events Manager to join our business and take ownership of sales and events across a number of prestigious London locations.

If you are commercially driven, confident building client relationships and passionate about creating memorable events, this is an opportunity to shape the offer, grow revenue and make a visible impact.

You’ll bring together proactive sales, strong pipeline management and close collaboration with our culinary and operational teams to turn opportunities into successful events.

We’re looking for an outstanding Sales and Events Manager to take ownership across a group of distinctive London locations.

This is not a role for simply processing enquiries and sending quotes. We need someone who will get out there, create demand, build a healthy pipeline and turn opportunities into revenue while making the booking journey straightforward for every customer.

You’ll have the freedom to shape how we sell the venues, package the offer and grow the events business. There is real scope to make your mark.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll own the sales and events journey across several locations, from the first conversation to delivery and follow-up.

In practice, you’ll:

  • Proactively promote our event spaces and find new revenue opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with workplace communities, event organisers, corporate bookers and prospective clients.
  • Handle incoming enquiries quickly, personally and with commercial focus.
  • Create proposals, quotations, packages and event ideas that make people want to book.
  • Use our sales, CRM and event-booking systems properly to manage activity, conversion and pipeline.
  • Develop seasonal event brochures, sales materials and targeted campaigns.
  • Keep deposits, contracts, booking details, event administration and final invoicing accurate and on time.
  • Be the customer’s main point of contact throughout the booking journey.
  • Work closely with chefs and operational teams to turn briefs into memorable events.
  • Know what is selling, what is not and where we need to push harder.
  • Track conversion, repeat business and revenue, then use the numbers to improve results.
  • Support the delivery of important events when needed.

This is a proper commercial role, not a booking administrator position. You’ll own the pipeline, keep the CRM in good order, improve conversion and make sure customers have a great experience across every location.

What success looks like

You’ll know you are making an impact when:

  • The sales pipeline is active, visible and growing.
  • Enquiries are handled quickly and converted confidently.
  • Revenue grows across the portfolio.
  • Customers come back because the experience was brilliant.
  • Our event packages feel current, relevant and commercially strong.
  • Locations are promoted proactively rather than relying solely on inbound demand.
  • Operational teams receive clear, accurate information and are properly set up to deliver.
  • We understand where opportunities are being won, lost or left on the table.
  • Clients see us as creative, responsive and easy to work with.

Put simply, we need dedicated ownership that grows event revenue, improves the booking journey and gives operational teams the information they need to deliver well.

What we’re looking for

We’re less interested in the job titles you have held than in what you have delivered.

You’ll need

  • A track record of growing sales and revenue in events, hospitality, venues or another customer-led business.
  • Experience managing enquiries, proposals, conversion and repeat business.
  • Confidence using CRM, online sales or event-booking systems. TripleSeat experience would be useful, but it is not essential.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
  • Real commercial drive and the confidence to go after opportunities.
  • A strong feel for customer experience. How people are treated during the booking process matters as much as the event itself.
  • The organisation to manage several locations, competing priorities and deadlines without losing the detail.
  • Creativity when developing packages, events and campaigns.
  • Confidence working with clients, chefs and operational teams.
  • Good judgement knowing when to challenge, adapt or get stuck in.
  • The resilience to stay calm and find solutions when plans change.

You’ll be ambitious, accountable and full of ideas and practical enough to turn those ideas into revenue.

A commercial role with an operational heartbeat

This is mainly a sales and events role, but hospitality does not always happen neatly behind a laptop.

There will be occasions when you need to be visible at an event, support the team, solve a problem or help bring an important experience to life. You won’t be expected to run every event personally, but you must be comfortable getting close to the operation when it matters.

That matters. You need to be able to sell the promise and understand what it takes to deliver it. It is also how we lead at BaxterStorey: commercially focused, close to the customer and willing to help on the floor when needed.

Working pattern

You’ll mainly work Monday to Friday during normal business hours.

There will be some evenings and weekends, depending on the events calendar, but they will not be the normal weekly pattern.

Why this opportunity is different

Many sales and events roles are about maintaining someone else’s process. This one is about building something better.

You’ll have several locations and very different spaces to bring to market. The opportunity is to join up sales, marketing, digital booking, customer experience and operational delivery properly.

You’ll have room to test ideas, sharpen the packages, challenge how we sell and create a more proactive commercial rhythm across the portfolio.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership and expected to make things happen.

  • Relevant academic or professional qualification in the respective field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Interested?

If you can show how you have grown revenue, converted opportunities, built loyal customer relationships and delivered brilliant events, we would like to hear from you.

Tell us what you achieved, how you did it and what you think you could build here.

Bring the energy, commercial thinking and ideas. We’ll give you the platform to make a visible impact across London.

We want our recruitment process to be inclusive and accessible. We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. If you need any adjustments to take part fully in the process, please let us know.
