- Track safety metrics, maintain required documentation, and prepare client and company reports
to resolve safety concerns
Foster a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, employee
engagement, and continual improvement initiatives
More Specifically:
- Conduct minimum and document in SafetyPlus Edge (SPE):
- One (1) audit inspection per building per week
- Three (3) Safety Observations per week
- One (1) Toolbox Talk per week
- Encouraging and documenting near miss reporting via SPE
- Promoting vehicle safety and Weekly Vehicle Inspections via SPE
- Monitoring documentation uploads to ensure all safety documentation (PTPs, JSAs, TBTs, equipment inspections, etc.) are properly completed and uploaded.
- Enforcing Company EHS policy and GC EHS policy at each management level to ensure compliance
- Signing off on permits including, but not limited to Working at Heights, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Attending jobsite meetings and safety walks as required
- Conducting (at minimum) two walks in the AM (or first half of the shift) and two walks in the PM (or second half of the shift)
- During the walks, DSR should observe all employees assigned to them and address hazards as needed
- Rule of thumb- 65% in the field 35% in the office
- When in the office, DSRs should work on assignments, inspect equipment, conduct or take training, or professional development
- When the DSR arrives onsite for the day, they must report to the PM when they arrive. If the DSR leaves prior to the end of the workday, they must report this to PM
