Safety Coordination-Railroad, Bridge & Structures

We are seeking an experiencedSafety Coordinator to support railroad, bridge, and structural construction projects. This position works directly with field leadership and crews to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and help deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, railroad, and company safety requirements.
• Support work activities within active railroad rights-of-way.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and employee training.
• Assist with Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and safety documentation.
• Monitor fall protection, crane operations, excavation, rigging, and structural work activities.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with project managers, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and railroad representatives to maintain safe operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction safety experience preferred but not required.
• Experience in railroad, bridge, structural steel, or heavy civil construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
• Experience conducting field safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety reporting systems.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction
• First Aid/CPR/AED
• Fall Protection Competent Person
• Excavation Competent Person
• Railroad safety certifications (RWIC, COSS, or equivalent)
• CHST, ASP, or CSP preferred
