What you'll do...
Role summary:The Manager, Advanced Analytics leads the development and execution of data-driven payment strategies to address complex business challenges across global Marketplaces. This role partners with leadership to define analytics objectives, deliver actionable insights, and guide decision-making across business areas. The manager oversees project execution and ensures the successful implementation of advanced models and prototypes. Collaborating cross-functionally, this position drives continuous improvement and innovation while maintaining accountability and integrity. The role requires analytical expertise, data driven decision making and effective stakeholder engagement to support strategic initiatives and deliver measurable business value.
About the team:
The Marketplace Payment Strategy team ensures precise seller settlements and effective reconciliation while managing financial impacts on the MP P&L. This team develops and implements robust payment strategies and controls to optimize seller payment experiences across Global Marketplaces. Collaborating across functions, the team leverages advanced analytics and data-driven insights to identify risks and opportunities, driving continuous improvement. Members contribute to strategic planning and lead complex projects that enhance business outcomes. The team fosters leadership, innovation, and operational excellence to support Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and maintaining financial integrity.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with leadership and business partners to identify analytics objectives and develop actionable research plans supporting strategic initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end project workstreams, including financial losses assessment and implementation of data-driven business solutions.
- Develop and validate complex data models and algorithms to drive measurable business value.
- Oversee prototype development and testing, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to deliver consultative analytics insights and support decision-making.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align analytics efforts with organizational priorities.
What you'll bring:
- Proven expertise in advanced analytics and data-driven decision making to address complex business challenges.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages for data management and model development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects end-to-end, including financial risk management and stakeholder collaboration.
- Experience in building business intelligence solutions and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Accountability and commitment to ethical standards and continuous improvement.

Sunnyvale, California US-11789: The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.00 - $202,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
