Cloud RAN, NFVI Lead

We are looking on behalf of a leading telecom company a Cloud RAN, NFVI Lead.

To address the emerging market demand on Cloud RAN in Market Area Europe & Latin America (MELA) and to facilitate Cloud knowledge build across RAN presales organization we are looking for experienced, dynamic, customer focused, techno-commercially skilled Cloud RAN and Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI) candidates ready to contribute to our business success. The candidate will be responsible to drive MELA Cloud RAN / NFVi portfolio requirements. Both technical competence and business sense are important for this role.

Responsibilities:

Portfolio management and product requirements:

• Produce new industry insights and know-how from broader Ericsson
• Build the solution and go to market strategy for Cloud RAN / NFVi in MELA
• Orchestrate the Cloud RAN / NFVi portfolio for MELA from a holistic point of view
• Align MELA needs and requirements with Ericsson products and roadmaps from Radio, Cloud RAN / NFVi
• Collaborate with Product Line, PDU, MELA Domains and Customer Unit
• New product introduction planning and support, early trial prioritization Cloud competence development for RAN per-sales people Drive Solution strategy and support RFx for High Impact Deals – to maximize probability to win and profitability

• High Impact Customer (HIC) workshops
• Dedicated involvement in High Impact Deals to optimize techno-commercial benefits
• Participate in and drive RFP process with customer prospects together with colleagues from business development, account management and solution architecture
• Generate long-term profitable business for Ericsson by working closely with or as part of the Core3 teams in sales, design & delivery of customer projects to translate identified opportunities into detailed technical offering & proposals. Customers interaction 

• Position Ericsson as technology leader, communicate and discuss Ericsson’s technology strategy and vision with customer CTO/CIO and direct reports
• Provide sales support expertise, conducts in-depth technical discussions with customer
  

To be successful in the role you must have

• ETSI NFVI architecture mastering and experience of participating in Telco Cloud Transformation programs
• Familiarity with technologies like Open VSwitch, OpenFlow, OpenStack, AWS, etc.;
• Expertise of onboarding of the vNFs (e.g. vEPC / vIMS) on the Cloud environments (both IaaS and CaaS)
• Solid understanding and Experience in NFV/SDN/CaaS area:
• RedHat Open Shift / ECCD / Vmware Tanzu / Docker / Containers / Kubernetes
• Dell / HP / other x86 platforms
• HW Accelerators
• E2E approach to NFVI projects – Ideally cloud infrastructure + CNF/VNF background
• O-RAN concept understanding on basic level
• Outstanding presentation & communication skills and easily adjust communication style to different audiences
• Team playing with very good collaboration and team leading skills
• Very good Operator understanding
• Excellent interpersonal communications and networking skills 

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science)
• Master's Degree preferred
• 5+ years of relevant ICT experience including relationship sales, product management or consulting
• 5+ years of proven success in pre-sales, design, and delivery of mobile transport technology
