Warehouse Operative - Southampton

Mirable Solutions is recruiting for a reliable and motivatedWarehouse Operative to join a busy and well-established warehouse/service centre environment.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in working safely, efficiently and accurately. You will be involved in picking, packing, processing, moving and loading materials, ensuring customer orders are completed on time and to the required quality standards.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• Picking, checking, invoicing and packing customer orders accurately and on time

• Unloading vehicles safely and ensuring materials are checked, sorted and stored correctly

• Moving materials around the warehouse safely and efficiently

• Operating relevant warehouse machinery, which may include saws, guillotines, coating machines or similar equipment

• Loading vehicles in line with delivery manifests and planned routes

• Entering stock locations, batch details and order information onto the company system

• Supporting stock checks and ensuring stock records are accurate

• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and quality control

• Working closely with colleagues and other departments to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or materials-handling experience

• A strong awareness of health and safety procedures

• Good attention to detail and accuracy

• A practical, hands-on approach to work

• A positive, flexible and proactive attitude

• The ability to work well as part of a team

• Forklift truck experience or licence would be beneficial

• Overhead crane experience would also be advantageous, depending on site requirements
