Senior Designer, Veilance Women’s, Tokyo Creation Centre (TCC)

• Collaborating with leadership and key stakeholders to establish and drive the vision and long-term design strategy for the Veilance collection
• Developing, leading and coaching a small team of creative direct reports to create comprehensive design solutions to exceed end user expectations
• Collaborating closely with other Designers to create and bring new and better toolbox solutions that benefit the brand (such as new technologies, construction techniques, features, etc.)
• Visually communicating compelling concepts both physically, as well as through 2D/3D digital assets
• Adhering to Arc’teryx Sustainability Design Principles while also contributing to future improvements
• Identifying and creating explorative, innovative performance or technology platforms that underpin product categories
• Driving the commercialization of innovative technologies, including materials, pattern/part shaping and construction techniques for existing and future product categories
• Creating patterns, mockups, and prototypes to explore, resolve, or prove new concepts or construction techniques
• Collaborating with the Fit & Pattern Team to resolve fit style and construction issues and ensure a fully commercialized product
• Coordinating with the Materials team to test new materials and ensure that necessary items are available for prototyping
• Collaborating with the Merchandising team and Design Directors to align on seasonal line plans and project resource planning
• Partnering with Product Development Managers to gain visibility into cost estimates, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) and Laminated Object Manufacturing (LOM) concerns throughout concepting and prototyping for seasonal products
• Collaborating with leadership and People & Culture to establish and retain Design talent

• Arc’teryxのサステナビリティ・デザイン原則に則ってデザインするとともに、その継続的な改善にも貢献する
• プロダクトカテゴリーを支える、探索的かつ革新的なパフォーマンス／テクノロジープラットフォームを特定・創出する
• 素材、パターン／パーツの成形、構造・製造技術など、既存および将来のプロダクトカテゴリーにおける革新的なテクノロジーの製品化を推進する
• 新しいコンセプトや構造・製造技術を検討、検証、実証するために、パターン、モックアップ、プロトタイプを制作する
• フィッティング&パターンチームと連携し、フィッティングスタイルや構造上の課題を解決するとともに、製品を完全に製品化可能な状態にする
• 素材チームと連携して新素材のテストを行い、プロトタイピングに必要な素材・資材をそろえる
• マーチャンダイジングチームおよびデザインディレクターと連携して、シーズンごとのラインプランおよびプロジェクトのリソース計画について調整する
• プロダクトディベロップメントマネージャーと連携し、シーズン商品のコンセプト立案からプロトタイピングまでの各段階において、コスト見積もり、Minimum Order Quantities（MOQ）、Laminated Object Manufacturing（LOM）に関する課題について把握する
• リーダーシップおよび人事部門と連携し、優れたデザイン人材の採用・育成・定着を推進する

Are you our next Senior Designer, Veilance Women's, TCC?

• You have a Degree in Design (Fashion, Outwear, Apparel, etc.) or the equivalent experience, and a minimum of 8+ years’ hands-on experience designing relevant textile-based products
• You have advanced knowledge in design, patterning, sewing, and garment construction with advanced technical and creative skills to pattern and prototype new products
• You have experience designing women’s apparel and understand the product creation process from initial concept and sketch through development, commercialization, and market introduction. Additional experience in knitwear, denim, or accessories is considered a plus.
• You are an excellent team player with the ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision and mentor and develop team members
• You have an innate, possibility-orientated mindset, able to provide explorative designs through 3D platforms
• Your hands-on experience creating tools and construction methods assist in solving construction issues
• You have excellent planning, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills
• You are technically proficient with leveraging digital tools, with 8+ years’ experience using Adobe Illustrator, Gerber, Clo3D or equivalent pattern software
• You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
• You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
• You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
• You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

• ウィメンズアパレルのデザイン経験があり、初期のコンセプトやスケッチから、開発、商品化、そして市場導入に至るまで、プロダクト開発の一連のプロセスを理解している。ニットウェア、デニム、アクセサリーの経験があれば尚可
• ディレクションを適切に受け止めることができる優れたチームプレイヤーであり、最小限の指揮監督のもとで業務を遂行し、チームメンバーの指導・育成ができる
• 可能性を探求するマインドセットを持ち、3Dプラットフォームを活用して、探索的なデザインを提案することができる
• ツールやものづくりの方法を自分の手を動かして開発した経験があり、それを活かして構造上の課題を解決できる
• 優れた計画力、組織力、問題解決力、意思決定力を有している
• デジタルツールを効果的に活用する高いスキルを有し、Adobe Illustrator、Gerber、CLO3D、または同等のパターンソフトウェアを8年以上使用した経験がある
