Job Description  

The School ofEducation at the University of New Orleans invites applications for atenure-track Assistant Professor position inEducationalAdministrationwith a background in Higher Education Administration or K12 Educational Administration.The successful candidate willhave an excellenttrack record of K12or post-secondaryteaching,a preference for collaborative work,a strong commitment tourban institutions, and anestablished oremerging researchagenda in an area ofEducational Administration.  

This positionis responsible for9 academic units per semester (3/3).  

Responsibilities include teachingMasters and Doctoral-level coursesinEducational Administration,service to the department/college, community, and the profession, andscholarlyproductivity inan area ofeducationaladministration/leadership,educationalchange,educational policy, or urban education. Other responsibilities includesupervisionof doctoral student research, studentrecruitmentandadvising, pursuit of extra-mural research funding, community outreach,and other supportsto the administrative functions of the unit.

·Evidence/potential for servicetotheuniversity,community,andprofession 

Desired Qualifications  

· Evidence of teaching excellenceat theK12 orPostsecondary level(both on-campus and online). 

· Demonstrableexpertise inteachingstudents from diverse backgrounds. 

· Leadership experience in a K12 or Postsecondary setting
