Facilities Maintenance Technician 1

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. 

• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. 

• Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical,pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.  

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts,test andadjustments 

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines,equipment, and plant facilities. 

• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. 

• Maintain housekeeping standards with attention to detail.   

Education:  

• High School Diplomaor Equivalent (GED) 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service 

• Comply with safety regulations andmaintain clean and orderly work areas. 

• Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility 

• Performappropriate housekeeping tasks as needed 

• Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager 

• Ensure product manufacturingruns smoothly without significant interruptions. 

• Work closely with Regulatory Complianceregarding food safety. 

• Minimum of three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. 

• Training in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics,PLC, and Servo is preferred. 

Tools and Equipment:     

• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electricmeters and material handling equipment in performing duties.  

• Forklifts, electric and manual floor jacks, dollies, computer, pencil, markers, cardboard, bump hat, ear plugs, and hair net.  

• Safety glasses are optional. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• The employee must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, and be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds.
