Job Description Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technician to join our Global Supply Chain Organization. This role is responsible for the assembly, testing, fault diagnosis and repair of Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) instruments and subassemblies, helping ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and customer satisfaction.

Working within a Lean manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in delivering production requirements while supporting continuous improvement, flexible working practices and cross-functional collaboration.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician or engineering professional who enjoys problem solving, fault finding and hands-on technical work, and who wants to develop their skills within a global technology and manufacturing organisation.

Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assembling and testing Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) instruments and subassemblies.
  • Usingspecialist test equipment and computer software to monitor, diagnose and repair equipment under test.
  • Assembling, installing and testing communications modules within DGA instruments.
  • Carrying outfault diagnosis, testing and repair to ensure equipment meets required specifications and quality standards.
  • Performingcalibration testing of reference and test equipment.
  • Working fromengineering drawings, procedures, specifications and associated documentation.
  • Training colleagues on assembly and test processes, supporting knowledge sharing and team development.
  • Coordinating with theassembly, test and shipping teams to sequence and prioritise daily customer requirements.
  • Supporting theplanning and scheduling of production build sequences to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders includingTeam Leaders, Engineering and other internal departments within the factory.
  • Working collaboratively across different areas of the operation to supportflexible working practices.
  • Contributing toproduction, quality and operational targets.
  • SupportingLean manufacturing principles, including single-piece flow, 5S and standard work.
  • Participating incontinuous improvement activities and Kaizen events, identifying opportunities to improve processes, quality and efficiency.
  • Working safely and in accordance with all relevantEnvironmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures and company requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • MinimumHNC or equivalent qualification inElectrical, Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering, or relevant experience in thetesting, analysis and repair of DGA equipment.
  • Proven ability to usetest equipment and computer software to monitor, diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Strongfault-finding, testing and repair skills, ideally within electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Ability toread, understand and work from engineering drawings.
  • Experience performingcalibration testing of reference and test equipment.
  • Practical experience withcabling and wiring assembly, board soldering and crimping techniques.
  • Strongproblem-solving skills, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and creative thinking.
  • Computer literate, with a sound working knowledge ofMicrosoft Office.
  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Ability towork flexibly across different areas of the operation as business demand requires.
  • Willingness tocross-train and develop additional technical skills to support flexible work practices.
  • Knowledge ofLean manufacturing principles, includingsingle-piece flow, 5S and standard work.
  • Experience participating in and contributing tocontinuous improvement activities and Kaizen events.

Additional Information

Location: Lisburn - Northern Ireland

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6:45am to 3:30pm and Friday: 6:45am to 12:30pm
