What we need 

The System Operatoris responsible for monitoring,operating, and supporting Symbotic’s advanced automation system to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance across robotic vehicles, automated adapters, vertical lifts, and supporting software components. Basedat operations site, this role is critical to daily site execution by coordinating system activity, responding to stoppages, and partnering with operations, maintenance, engineering, and support teams tomaintainoptimal uptime. The ideal candidate is technically curious, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, highly automated warehouse environment. 

Whatyou’ll do  

• Monitor,operate, and troubleshoot automation systems, robotics, and the autonomous bot fleet to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. 

• Respond to system alerts, stoppages, and operational disruptions while coordinating production flow and minimizing downtime. 

• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Customer teams, and Tiered Support to resolve issues,maintain throughput, and maximize system uptime. 

• Ensure compliance with Symbotic, customer, and site safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 

• Support production scheduling, order fulfillment, inventory movement, and overall operational readiness. 

• Troubleshoot software, automation, and equipment issues;identify corrective actions and escalate technical concerns as needed. 

• Monitor dashboards, system queues, routing logic, and key performance metrics toidentify bottlenecks andoptimize performance. 

• Utilize automation software, diagnostic tools, SQL queries, log analysis, and basic scripting to support system monitoring and root cause investigations. 

• Coordinate workflow planning, maintenance activities, and system readiness efforts with site leadership and maintenance teams. 

• Maintainaccurate documentation, operational reports, and records of system events, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions. 

• Serve as an on-site systems resource by developingexpertise in automation workflows, robotics operations, and system functionality. 

• Train and support operatorson troubleshooting, standard work, and basic equipment procedures. 

• Performadditional duties assigned. 

• English literacy preferred; may be required depending on site, customer, and business needs in Mexico. 

Our Environment 

• Site-based position   

• The employee isfrequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms  

• The employeefrequently needs to work at heights of up to 45 feet and in confined spaces as narrow as 24 inches. This includes tasks that require standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. 

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds  

• Must adhere to all safety requirements and protocols, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout and fall protection safety protocols. 

• You will need to climb steep stairs to access the structure and maybe required to regularly walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation setup. 

• You will regularly be near railings that are high offthe ground  

• Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.

• Garantizar elcumplimiento de laspolíticas,procedimientos yrequisitosnormativos deseguridad de Symbotic, delcliente y del sitio. 

• Apoyar laprogramación de laproducción, elcumplimiento depedidos, elmovimiento deinventario y lapreparaciónoperativa general. 

• Diagnosticarproblemas de software,automatización yequipos;identificaraccionescorrectivas yescalarproblemastécnicoscuando seanecesario. 

• Monitorearpaneles de control, colas delsistema,lógica deenrutamiento eindicadores clave dedesempeño paraidentificarcuellos debotella yoptimizar elrendimiento. 

• Utilizar software deautomatización,herramientas dediagnóstico,consultas SQL,análisis deregistros y scriptsbásicos pararespaldar elmonitoreo delsistema y lasinvestigaciones de causaraíz. 

• Coordinar laplanificación deflujos detrabajo,actividades demantenimiento yesfuerzos depreparación delsistema juntocon elliderazgo del sitio ylosequipos demantenimiento. 

• Mantenerdocumentaciónprecisa,reportesoperativos yregistros deeventos delsistema,actividades deresolución deproblemas yaccionescorrectivas. 

• Actuarcomorecursoexpertoensistemasdentro del sitio,desarrollandoexperienciaenflujos detrabajo deautomatización,operacionesrobóticas yfuncionalidad delsistema. 

• Capacitar yapoyar alosoperadoresenresolución deproblemas,procedimientosestándar detrabajo yprocedimientosbásicos deequipos.
