Manager, Research – CarolinasÂ

The Research Manager will lead theCarolinas office and industrialresearch platform and establish themselves as a thought leader by telling a clear and compelling story about the local market, helping build and maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace through market expertise and providing analysis and strategic insight. This role involves engaging with market leaders, ensuring collaboration and support for client initiatives and businessobjectives, in addition to working with theResearch Analystin Charlotte and Raleigh.Â

The Research Manager will support the Carolinasofficeand industrialmarkets by using data from JLL and other sources to analyze market conditions and effectively tell a clear and compelling story about the local market that will enable JLL and its clients to be more effective, competitive and successful in the real estate marketplace. The role will manage and analyze theCarolinascommercial real estate markets with a focus on trend analysis, market presentation, strategic business developmentsupport and research content creation. You will work closely with internalCarolinasresearch colleagues, brokerageprofessionals and clients in the local market, as well as with research colleagues throughout the nation within JLL’s Americas Research group.Â

What this job involvesÂ
Edit and manage production ofCarolinaslocal market research reports and contributions to national reportsÂ
Analyze and report on the local economy with respect to employment statistics, major company activity, industrytrends and demographic shiftsÂ
Maintain extensive knowledge of the macro and micro factors affecting the marketplace and proactively position research toleverage this knowledge for the business and for clientsÂ
Maximize your team’s skills and analysis to tell a compelling story about the local market to establish JLL as the clear thought leader for understanding trends in commercial real estate,economics and demographic driversÂ
Implement and manage the overall local strategic research plan that aligns with Americas research plans and local business objectivesÂ
Collaborate ata high level with theSoutheast RegionalResearch Directorand senior market leadership to execute the research planÂ
Identify opportunities and implement AI tools responsibly in research workflows.” - open to you adjusting based on otherlanguage you have seen in postingsÂ
Present compelling trend analysis regularly to internal teams and clientsÂ
Manage the statistical and analytical quality of data for the market Â

Work with marketing teams and business leaders to position research to contribute to all business development effortsÂ
Develop white paper reports on key trends, issues affecting the markets, economy and region and contribute to national research reports on unique market economic or industry trendsÂ

Desired skills and experience for this jobÂ
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, urbanplanning or related field desiredÂ
Five or more years in commercial real estate research or closely related fieldÂ
Command of local market and business with good understanding of macro trends and historical perspectiveÂ
Dynamic presentation skills and experience presenting insightful content to clientsÂ
High-level analytical skills and problem-solving abilityÂ
Proactive and strategic thinking and ability to lead research initiatives, align research with the business and innovate research outputÂ
Ability toeffectively and professionally exceed client expectations and positively represent the firmÂ
Ability to multi-task, be resilient and can effectively manage time and workloadÂ

Expected compensation for this position:
97,400.00 – 141,100.00 USD per year
Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
