Internship

Ryan Gootee General Contractors LLC. is seeking college construction interns to join our team. The intern is a training position for students to learn construction project management duties. The purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive support to project teams in building current and new business. We offer full time internships that afford qualified candidates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in many phases of commercial construction.

The goal of the internship program is to become a better builder and a better professional to strengthen the next generation of construction leaders.

The college construction intern will have the opportunity to:

• work on a variety of projects and departments 
• learn company correspondence processes
• learn project buyout process
• learn how to review and process submittals
• learn about managing the project budget
• learn change management processes
• learn how changes, clarifications, directives, RFIs etc are updated on as-built plans
• learn the closeout process

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in construction management, engineering or related program
• Strong computer skills
• Willingness to work in a collaborative, team setting
• Eagerness to learn
