Following Buenos Aires and Miami Beach, Faena New York, will find its home at 500 West 18th Street, overlooking the High Line in a building designed by Bjarke Ingels Group. This latest opening will be synonymous with sophistication, glamour, breathtaking artwork, and cultural trendsetting. This opening will mark the resurgence of luxury nightlife experiences in New York with dynamic food and beverage venues and programming that will make Faena the ultimate destination for the sophisticated traveler to New York.
The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations across the property, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and assets while maintaining a discreet and guest-forward approach aligned with Faena’s brand. This role develops and implements security procedures, supervises the security team, and coordinates emergency response and risk mitigation strategies.Â
This position has an annual compensation of $85,000 per year. Â
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Manage daily security operations including shift scheduling, patrols, access control, and incident reportingÂ
Lead training and oversight for all security personnel, including emergency response, customer service, and de-escalation protocolsÂ
Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services as neededÂ
Develop and implement safety policies, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocolsÂ
Maintain and monitor security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and report maintenance needsÂ
Coordinate coverage for VIP guests, high-profile events, and public access areasÂ
Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, producing detailed reportsÂ
Work collaboratively with departments including Rooms, Events, and Engineering to ensure integrated property safetyÂ
Maintain compliance with all relevant city, state, and OSHA security regulationsÂ
5+ years of progressive experience in security or safety management, preferably in luxury hospitality, nightlife, or event environmentsÂ
Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a unionized setting preferredÂ
NYS Security Guard License required; Fire Safety Director Certification strongly preferredÂ
CPR/First Aid/AED Certification requiredÂ
Knowledge of surveillance systems, hotel property layouts, and threat assessment protocols.Â
