West Orange, New Jersey 07052Position SummaryThe Physician operates in a team with other clinic healthcare providers and support staff. The Physician provides patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based, multi-specialty group practice. In addition, the Physician provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
The duties include, but are not limited to:Â Â
Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recoveryÂ
Treatment of acute illnessesÂ
Treatment of acute injuriesÂ
Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides adviceregarding personal health and hygieneÂ
Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessaryÂ
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular fieldÂ
Relies on experience and judgement to plan andaccomplish goalsÂ
Performs a variety of tasksÂ
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedÂ
Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staffÂ
Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient carein order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patientchartsin accordance with company policies.  Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonusesÂ
Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonusesÂ
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Â
Qualifications or Education, Training and ExperienceÂ
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)Â
Licensed in the state of New JerseyÂ
Board certified or Board eligibleÂ
Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice (i.e., family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics)Â
DEA controlled substances registrationÂ
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certificationÂ
Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriateÂ
Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferredÂ
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community membersÂ
Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuriesÂ
Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situationsÂ
