Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models usingSnowflake and dbt.
• Build reusable and maintainabledbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, and incremental models.
• Develop complex SQL transformations and optimize Snowflake queries for performance and cost.
• Design data models following dimensional modeling and modern data warehouse best practices.
• Implement automated data-quality checks, testing, documentation, and lineage using dbt.
• Work with Snowflake features including warehouses, databases/schemas, stages, streams/tasks, roles, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues, and data-quality problems.
• Participate in code reviews and establish engineering standards for SQL and dbt development.
• Collaborate with upstream/downstream teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable datasets.
• Support CI/CD and automated deployment processes for dbt projects across environments.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience withSnowflake.
• Strong hands-on experience withdbt (Data Build Tool).
• AdvancedSQL and strong understanding of query optimization.
• Experience designing and implementingELT/data transformation pipelines.
• Strong understanding ofdata warehousing, dimensional modeling, fact/dimension tables, and SCD concepts.
• Experience withGit and CI/CD development practices.
• Experience implementingdata quality, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience withPython for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with orchestration tools such asAirflow.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such asAWS or Azure.
• Experience withdbt Cloud, including jobs, environments, deployments, and CI.
• Familiarity with Snowflake security, RBAC, performance tuning, and cost optimization.

Ideal Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering, including significant hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt.
