Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-consciousShipper to join our production facility in Sugar Land, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining precise inventory records, operating specialized material handling equipment, and supporting daily warehouse logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping, Receiving & Material Handling

• Pull, stage, and label shipments in accordance with the daily Shipping Schedule.
• Safely load and unload inbound and outbound freight, inspecting all shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for materials in stock and on order; assist with End-of-Month (EOM) physical inventory counts.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies and initiate action to replenish stock as needed.
• Efficiently execute daily assignments and tasks directed by the Shipping Lead or Warehouse Manager.

Equipment Operation & Safety

• Safely operate material handling equipment, including stand-up counterbalance forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and forklifts equipped with roll clamp attachments.
• Transport, load, unload, stack, and unstack large paper rolls and cylindrical materials in a stable, secure manner.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety rules, standard operating procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.

Collaboration & Administration

• Cross-train across other distribution departments to support operational flexibility.
• Complete routine administrative shipping/receiving paperwork accurately and on time.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production and distribution goals.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

• Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or high-volume warehouse environment preferred.
• Equipment Certification/Skills: Demonstrated ability or certification to safely operate stand-up counterbalance forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and roll clamp attachments.
• Problem-Solving & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to reconcile inventory numbers and solve basic logistical issues.
• Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complete routine shipping documentation.
• Teamwork: Strong team-player attitude with a willingness to cross-train in other logistics functions.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Environment: Active warehouse and manufacturing facility environment.
• Schedule & Hours: Ability to work shift work, irregular hours, extended shifts, nights, and weekends as operational needs require.
