Route Assistant (76604)

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Route Assistant to support our delivery operations. This position is designed to provide coverage across multiple routes and drivers based on daily business needs. Route Assistants are not assigned to a specific route and may work with different drivers and routes from day to day.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, beginning at 5:00 a.m. until route completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Support drivers with route navigation and deliveries.
• Help deliver, stock, rotate, and merchandise products at customer locations.
• Provide coverage on various routes as needed. This is a floating position, and route assignments may change daily based on staffing and workload requirements.
• Safely handle products weighing 35-50 lbs. regularly and up to 150 lbs. occasionally.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck, trailer, and pallet jacks.
• Act as a spotter when drivers are backing up vehicles to ensure safe operation and prevent accidents.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and willing to work on different routes and with different drivers as business needs dictate.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
