We are looking for a pragmatically minded, curious, and energeticSafety, Health & Wellbeing Lead to partner with our ALH Hotels operational teams across NSW.

In this hands-on, highly collaborative role, you will lead the implementation, monitoring, and review of our Endeavour Group Safety, Health & Wellbeing Strategy. Reporting to the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Manager – Hotels & Services, you will be the trusted advisor on-the-ground partnering with state and area leadership, venue managers, and venue teams to embed a strong culture of care and prevent workplace injuries.

From conducting ICAM investigations and risk assessments to delivering wellbeing programs and executing new site opening inspections, you will play a central role in keeping our team members safe every single day

• Partner with state operational teams, site managers, and venue teams to integrate safety and wellbeing into daily operations and champion a strong culture of care.
• Lead Category 1 & 2 incident investigations using root cause analysis (ICAM), support Category 3 & 4 investigations, and implement effective control measures to prevent recurrence.
• Support state, area, and site-level compliance with WH&S laws, assist with self-insurance audits, handle notifiable incidents, and close out action plans.
• Coach onboarding state and area teams, facilitate WH&S training programs, and empower team members to take ownership of safety.
• Conduct new Site Opening inspections, complete hazard identifications, and travel regularly to sites across NSW to provide hands-on coaching and investigation support.
• Analyze incident reports and safety data to identify emerging themes, develop risk assessments, create safety alerts, and refine work instructions.
• Implement tailored initiatives that enhance both the physical and mental health of our team members, driving holistic wellness across our venues.

Now let’s talk about you: 

We are looking for an authentic, adaptable, and pragmatic safety practitioner who thrives in dynamic environments.

Essential Criteria:

• Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (minimum) and formal ICAM certification.
• Current valid driver’s licence (regular intrastate travel required).
• Strong knowledge of WH&S Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, and Hazard Management principles.
• Solid understanding of retail and/or hospitality operational environments.
• Proven experience investigating complex workplace incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to facilitate training sessions and influence diverse stakeholders across complex organizations.
• Pragmatic, resilient under pressure, curious, and genuinely committed to fostering inclusive, team-first outcomes.

Desirable Criteria:

• Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety.
• Knowledge of Return to Work / Injury Recovery principles.
