Role Summary
Lead and coordinate mine site security and surveillance activities to protect employees, assets, and goods, while ensuring effective emergency preparedness and response.
Key Responsibilities
Manage security operations, personnel, resources, and site security strategies.
Oversee surveillance, access control, perimeter protection, and security systems.
Coordinate enhanced security measures for gold refining, transportation, and other high-risk activities.
Develop and maintain emergency preparedness, crisis response, and security procedures.
Investigate and report security incidents, suspicious activities, and policy violations.
Monitor security performance, maintain accurate records, and identify areas for improvement.
Lead, train, and develop the security team, ensuring adequate staffing and emergency coverage.
Ensure compliance with company security, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Diploma/certificate in Security, Law Enforcement, or related field; First Aid certification preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant mine site security experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
Experience in crisis management, emergency response, crowd/riot control, and security systems.
Strong knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness.
Experience working in multicultural environments.
Calm under pressure with strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
