Are you passionate about loss prevention, investigations, and operational compliance? We are seeking aLoss Controller to join the KFC Rohloff Group team. In this role, you will help safeguard company assets by analysing CCTV footage, operational records, and supporting documentation to identify losses, policy breaches, operational irregularities, and potential fraud. Working closely with the Loss Control Manager, you will support investigations, monitor compliance, validate operational activities, and provide evidence-based insights that strengthen internal controls, reduce risk, and improve operational accountability. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

What you’ll do:

• Review and analyse CCTV footage to verify operational activities, incident reports, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Retrieve, preserve, and provide CCTV footage and supporting evidence within required turnaround times. 
• Validate attendance records, clocking data, delivery documentation, inventory movements, and incident reports against CCTV footage and operational records.
• Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies, irregularities, losses, policy breaches, and potentially fraudulent activities.
• Support loss control investigations through the collection, analysis, and documentation of factual evidence.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Escalate compliance breaches, operational risks, and control weaknesses to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Compile and maintain accurate compliance, incident, exception, and investigation reports.
• Maintain organised records of investigations, evidence, CCTV footage, and supporting documentation.
• Provide timely CCTV review and verification support to operational teams, management, and authorised stakeholders.
• Contribute to loss prevention, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, integrity, discretion, and objectivity at all times.

What you’ll bring:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
  
• 2-3 years' experience in a Loss Control, Security, CCTV Monitoring, Retail, Warehousing, or Investigative environment.
  
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  
• Experience reviewing CCTV footage and investigating operational discrepancies.
  
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and report-writing ability.
  
• High levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  
• Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Advantageous

• PSIRA Grade B or A registration.
  
• Qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminology, Investigations, Business Management, or a related field.
  
• Experience with CCTV surveillance platforms and operational reporting.
  
• Knowledge of loss control, risk management, inventory controls, and compliance monitoring.
  
• Experience within a Retail, Warehousing, Distribution, Security, or Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.
