Procurement Lead

The Procurement Lead is responsible for leading and executing the Rohloff Group's procurement strategy, sourcing activities, supplier management framework, contract governance, and procurement operations across all business units.

This role will ensure procurement delivers sustainable cost savings, supplier performance excellence, contract compliance, reduced operational risk, procurement governance, operational support, and procurement process efficiency.

As a key commercial partner, the Procurement Lead will drive strategic sourcing initiatives, oversee supplier and contract management, lead procurement teams, and support the Commercial Manager in achieving Group margin improvement and commercial objectives.

What You'll Be Cooking Up:

Strategic Procurement

• Develop and execute annual procurement plans aligned to business objectives and savings targets.
• Drive strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation initiatives across the Group.
• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier assessments to identify opportunities.
• Implement category management strategies that support long-term business growth.
• Lead commercial negotiations to maximize value and improve margins.
• Identify and implement procurement process improvements and automation initiatives.

Supplier Management

• Establish and manage supplier performance scorecards and reporting.
• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and compliance processes.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and business evaluations.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and contractual disputes.
• Drive supplier innovation and value-added initiatives.
• Maintain approved supplier lists and ensure supplier compliance.

Tender, Contract and Sourcing Management

• Provide oversight of all RFQ, RFP and tender processes.
• Lead bid evaluations and supplier award recommendations.
• Manage major contract negotiations and commercial agreements.
• Oversee contract governance, renewals, and SLA management.
• Ensure procurement processes adhere to governance and compliance requirements.
• Prepare executive-level procurement reports and insights.

Procurement Operations

• Lead and develop the procurement and buying teams.
• Ensure sourcing requests are managed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
• Oversee quotation management, purchase order generation, and procurement workflows.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and service levels.
• Support operational teams with procurement requirements and business needs.
• Drive operational excellence and service delivery within the procurement function.

Commercial Support

• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with inflation planning and commercial decision-making.
• Contribute to margin improvement initiatives across the business.
• Provide procurement insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Governance, Risk and Compliance

• Enforce procurement policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure procurement approvals comply with delegated authority requirements.
• Monitor supplier compliance with legal, contractual, and operational obligations.
• Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
• Drive ethical sourcing and governance best practices across the Group.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
• Build procurement capability and succession pipelines.
• Drive employee engagement, accountability, and performance excellence.
• Foster collaboration across business units and stakeholders.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement and customer service.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Finance, or Business Management.
• 7-10 years' experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, or Commercial environments.
• 3-5 years' experience leading and developing teams. 
• Proven experience managing strategic supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
• Experience leading sourcing initiatives, RFQs, RFPs, and tender processes. 
• Experience implementing procurement governance and compliance frameworks. 
• Experience within Retail, QSR, FMCG, Logistics, Construction, or Facilities Management environments will be advantageous.

• Strong Planning, Organising and Problem-Solving Skills.
