The role

At Loombotic, we’re automating wire harness manufacturing.We need an exceptional robotics engineer to make robots assemble harnesses reliably. You’ll focus on robot and end-effector programming, machine vision and manipulation.The work is physical and unforgiving: finding a small contact, handling a flexible wire, aligning it with a connector and inserting it correctly. Then knowing whether it worked, recovering when it didn’t and doing it thousands of times.You’ll own the software that connects perception to action: camera calibration, visual localization, motion, end-effector control and verification. You’ll work closely with our mechatronics team to improve the hardware and software together.We have 20,000 square feet of factory to automate, with a goal of producing hundreds of thousands of harnesses per month by mid-2027.You should be comfortable moving between code, cameras and real hardware, and staying with a problem until the machine works consistently.We use AI agents wherever they make engineering better.
