Job Description Summary
Responsible for ensuring quality and compliance of activities related to the construction, building and commissioning on customer site, from site mobilization, through civil, erection and commissioning work. This includes maintaining and verifying implementation of the site quality plan to ensure that contractual, legal, and internal requirements are met. Schedules and Conduct site audits based on contractual requirements and customer needs. Works with site contractors to ensure job tasks are understood and performed according to local and city / state requirements. Works with Site Manager to ensure work is completed as scheduled with appropriate checks and documentation supported. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of working project team. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The Site Quality lead coordinates and reports on site quality activities and on the related quality interfaces, maintaining communications and alignment with client, project team, subcontractors, quality engineer, and site manager on quality-related issues and scope of work. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.Job Description
Responsibilities and Requirements
Customer Care:
- Check that customer requirements are fully determined, reviewed and considered in all site activities
- Ensure that Customer is duly informed of site Quality issues and progress according to contractual requirements
- Check that Customer requests on site are communicated and answered with the relevant details (document according to required processes)
- Ensure that Customer complaints, if any, are communicated to the Project Manager & Project Quality Manager
Site Quality Plan & Inspection Test Plan
- Prepare, implement and update the Site Quality Plan(s)
- Review work procedures and method statements for compliance with good work practices and with the contract requirements
- Monitor the related Inspection and Test Plan(s) for the site activities, to ensure work is correctly prepared prior to inspection and to physically participate in Site Inspections and Tests
Quality Management
- Manage the site quality activities, interfaces and reviews, communicating with customer’s quality representative, Project Quality Manager, internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors on matters related to quality.
- Organize and participate in site inspections and quality audits.
- Deploy quality communication on site and the necessary awareness Site Quality sessions and training.
- Manage and maintain the follow-up tables of deviations (NC) and snag lists, controlling non-conformity reports and remedial actions.
- Participate in analysis of site deviations, problem solving and site corrective actions.
- Monitor and communicate the progress regarding the Site Quality objectives
- Plan, organize and run monthly site quality reviews
Suppliers and Sub-contractors’ Quality
- Verify and document that materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable for use in the project (complies with requirements / specifications)
- Â Communicate with Supply Chain for necessary insurance claim to be made in line with transport damages or losses procedure
- Inform the Site Manager and jointly stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety / quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work
Control of Records
- Ensure that records (evidences of conformity to requirements) of internal and of subcontractors’ origins are identified and collected (Among them: Site Quality Plans & ITPs, construction and testing method statements, Inspection & test reports, Log of NCs and pending points, Hand-Over Certificates, Site Modification forms, Red marked drawings, …)
- Review inspection reports for compliance, checking the appropriateness of the content of the Quality records (acceptance criteria, recorded values, tolerances, calibration status of measuring tools, validations …)
- Assemble and forward site closeout documents necessary for O&M manuals
Return of Experience
- Establish the Returns of Experience on the site and share them with the Project Manager and the Regional Quality Management
- Provide site sub-contractors with the Returns on experience regarding the quality of received services
- Leads site with respect to quality and manages execution of the project scope of work.
- Ensure quality of equipment and construction follow contractual obligations, company policy and local regulations.
- Has experience of leading quality activities in EPC Project
- Audit ability both internal and second party audits ISO9001 only is appreciated
- IT tool skills - Microsoft office, document control systems, non-conformance management systems, SAP, and similar.
- Good communicator and influencer
- Language Requirement: English is a must
- This job is 90% travel across North America.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Construction, quality management, or Engineering discipline: Electrical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in site management and commissioning, substation construction, or project execution within utility, electrical substation, or related industrial environments
- Experience in development and implementation of Site Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plans related to HV turnkey projects
- Experience in Quality management, Quality assurance & control
- Equivalent experience may come from hands-on field leadership backgrounds such as site management, electrical construction, substation operations, or similar technical trades leadership with deep understanding of electrical design.
- Relevant field credentials such as Journeyman status, Master Electrician license, OSHA 30, or similar site-based certifications are highly valued

- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate contractors in fast-paced field environments
- Experience supporting or overseeing electrical substation upgrades, expansions, or new-build projects
- Strong understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, and EHS expectations on customer sites
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Established project or site management skills; PMP certification is a plus
The weekly pay for this position is 2,500 USD.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a % performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.Â
