Job Summary
Summary<br>Responsible for providing therapeutic aquatic instruction to patients of various age groups with physical or developmental needs in a hospital or rehabilitation setting. Collaborates with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized aquatic exercise programs to improve patients' mobility, strength, and overall well-being.<br><br>Does this position require Patient Care?<br>No<br><br>Essential Functions<br>-Design and implement individualized aquatic therapy sessions based on patient assessments and therapeutic goals. <br>-Monitor patients during swim sessions to ensure safety, proper technique, and effective rehabilitation exercises. <br>
-Collaborate with therapists and healthcare providers to adjust treatment plans based on patient progress. <br>
-Maintain and ensure the cleanliness, safety, and appropriate temperature of the pool area. <br>
-Educate patients and caregivers on proper aquatic exercise techniques and post-therapy care. <br>
-Maintain accurate records of patient attendance, progress, and session outcomes. <br>
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection-control procedures in aquatic environments. <br>
-Assist in the development and implementation of group aquatic therapy classes as needed. <br>
