Job Summary
This position is Full-time, 40hrsWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Allergy Nurse to join our dynamic, fast-paced clinical team. This role involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients with allergic and immunologic conditions across multiple satellite locations.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 3-5 Years of RN Strongly Preferred
* Pediatric and Acute Experience Preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct oral food challenges and drug challenges
- Perform skin prick and intradermal allergy testing
- Administer biologic therapies and monitor patient response
- Manage environmental allergen immunotherapy and oral immunotherapy treatments
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education
- Perform phone triage and address patient and parent concerns
- Complete prior authorizations and assist with care coordination
Key Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in acute pediatric nursing preferred
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based, and fast-paced environment
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness and ability to travel between satellite locations in Boston, Newton, and Danvers

Responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.

Essential Functions
-Deliver direct patient care and support in our ambulatory care unit, ensuring high nursing standards.
-Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
-Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-procedure care.
-Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
-Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
-Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Education
Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred

Experience
Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required and Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred
