Senior Drafter, Roads

What you’ll do

We are seeking a motivated Senior Civil Drafter to support the design and delivery of transport infrastructure projects. 

This role will contribute to the development of multidisciplinary road projects, from tender all the way to detail design. 

You will work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams, supporting development of infrastructure options that respond to client, community and network needs. 

• Prepare detailed civil engineering plans, profiles, cross-sections and construction documentation. 

• Maintain drawing standards, levels, references, naming conventions and project documentation. 

• Work closely with engineers, project managers to deliver practical, coordinated and construction-ready civil drawings. 

• Support project delivery in line with quality, budget and schedule requirements. 

• Support the implementation of CAD/BIM and digital engineering standards. 

• Managed ISO19650 workflows 

• Maintain CAD Standards 

• Demonstrate experience in managing drawing revisions and document control requirements 

What you’ll bring

• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience in major roads projects 

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects. 

• Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated design team. 

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, coordinated and high-quality documentation 

• Experience working on Australian states or local government transport projects. 

• Familiarity with Australian state drafting standards. 

• An understanding of ISO19650 

• Essential – ProjectWise (negotiable, must understand document management systems), MicroStation (non-negotiable) 

• Desirable – AutoCAD, Autodesk Forma & Revit
