The Associate position on the CVS Health Ventures(CVSHV)Market Development team is a highly analytical rolesitting at the intersection ofventure investing,corporate strategy,and portfolio value creation.In this role, you will help CVSHVstay closely connected to CVS Health’s evolving strategic priorities, deepenourteam’srelationships across the enterprise,support portfolio companies in navigatingandpartnering with CVS Health, and contribute to high-priority strategic projects, and investmenttheses.This individual might also support diligence for investments as need and opportunity arise, however this is not primarily a direct investment role.
The role requires someone who ishighlycurious,experienced in healthcare, thrivesin ambiguity, andexcellent at building relationships. The strongest candidatesknow how todevelop a point of view,prioritize what matters, and take ownership for driving workthrough toexecution.Â

The Market Development team plays a critical role in achieving CVSHV’s dualobjectives ofoptimizing financial returns and advancing enterprise strategy through our investments. This team fosters growth within our existing portfolio companies byfacilitating collaboration with internal business teams and venture capital funds, while providing strategic guidance and support to help them achieve theirobjectives. Additionally, Market Development enhances enterprise value across various business lines through insight generation, strategic support, and seamless orchestration of high value connections.Â
Core Responsibilities:Â
Enterprise Engagement & Strategic Intelligence:Â
Drive the day-to-daydirection of CVSHV’s engagementstrategy withCVS Healthbusiness teams,guiding our team’sapproach torelationship coverage, staffing, engagement tracking, and follow-throughÂ
Develop a strong understanding of CVS Health’s strategic priorities, organizational dynamics, and key initiatives through ongoing engagementwith internal stakeholders, and translatethat information intorelevant insightsforbroader teamÂ
Support selectedspecial projects for CVSHV andexecutive leaders (e.g.,investmentcommittee and board-levelmaterials)Â
Portfolio Strategy & Value Creation:Â
Evolve andoptimizeour portfoliovaluecreation modeltoidentify recurring needs across companies andformalize repeatable programs, resources, and approaches to address themÂ
Build andmaintain relationships with internal stakeholders,connecting portfolio companiesandrelevant CVS Healthstakeholderswhere thereare mutual benefitsandpotential forstrategicpartnership Â
Partnering with senior leaders on the CVSH Ventures team,drivein-depthportfolio reviews, and develop insights on portfolio performance, strategic value, and opportunities to createadditional valueÂ
Directlysupportportfolio growth forselectcompanies, building relationships with management teams and contributing tostrategic support and financial analysis Â
Strategic Projects, Theses & Investment Support:Â
Lead market and thesis development projects insupport of CVS Health strategic initiatives andCVSHVinvestment opportunity areasÂ
Synthesize relevant market development insights including competitive dynamics, emerging trends, and investment landscape intohigh quality deliverables that support senior-level business strategy decisions and investment decision-makingÂ
Contribute tofund of fundinvestmentdiligenceand programmanagement, as neededÂ
Administrative Support and Travel:Â
Support administrative functions such as organizing meetings/events, coordinatinglogistics, and managing related communicationsÂ
10-15% travel expectedÂ
Required QualificationsÂ
5+ years of professional experience (internships excluded) inin management consulting, corporate strategy,strategic partnerships,venture capital/corporate venture capital,or similarrolesÂ
Experience inhealthcare, healthcare services, or healthcare technology markets Â
Demonstrated ability todrive ambiguouswork independentlyandtransform analysisintoactionableinsights and recommendationsÂ
Strong independent judgement and intellectual curiosity, including the ability to build a point of view, challenge assumptions constructively, and update conclusions over timeÂ
Strong writtenand verbal communication skills,including experience distilling complex informationforsenior leadersÂ
Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across levels, functions, andworkstreamsÂ
High degree of ownership and follow-throughÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
Experience with financial modeling, market analysis, company assessment,and/or investment diligenceÂ
Experience supporting portfolio companies, value creation initiatives, strategicpartnerships or other platform functions in an investment organizationÂ

The typical pay range for this role is:
$111,240.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Â The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Â This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Â
