TheProduction Engineer is responsible for leading engineering projects and project activities that enhance manufacturing capabilities.


This position reports to theProcessEngineering Managerand is located in Ilfracombe, and it will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Lead engineering projects and technical improvement activities that enhance manufacturing capabilities through process reliability improvement initiatives following process qualification such as IQOQPQ validation methods.

  • Provide ownership and input into structured problem solving activities within established project engineering team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering/Product Engineering and Quality.

  • Research and learn processes, tools and technologies to deliver engineering project objectives.

Who you are:

  • Proven experience working within an engineering project environment and demonstrable knowledge of project management techniques.

  • Proactive and enthusiastic in applying structured problem solving tools (DMAIC, PSP etc) to translate complex technical problems into actionable plans.

  • Good communication skills to clearly articulate technical and project problems, providing clear updates to key stakeholders.

  • Prior work within regulated environment (i.e GMP) and of owning change control activity including process risk assessment (dFMEA/pFMEA or other tool)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Expertise in a technical discipline within engineering (e.g fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, polymer science)

  • Design for manufacture and CAD.

  • Lean principles, Waste reduction, efficiency improvements, process flow, etc

  • Formal technical qualification in Mechanical/Production Engineering
