Scylla has been setting the standard in premium river cruising for more than 50 years. Today, the company operates more than 40 modern river ships, sailing along the Rhine, Danube, Seine, Rhône, Saône, and many other beautiful rivers across Europe.

⭐️WHAT AWAITS YOU:

“ISMIRA” agency team will meet and greet you at the appointed hotel conference room to check your documents and  provide useful instructions. Then you will participate in the company presentation followed by tet-a-tet job interviews.

All successful candidates will receive their job offers to start preparation process and embark the assigned vessel with 2026 season starts! 

In case you do not succeed, do not get upset -  we will be looking for alternative options for you.

Work & Life Onboard Conditions:

• Competitive salary paid in EURO + possible to earn gratuties 
• River ships are located in Europe - closer to home
• Seasonal work with contracts from March to November renewable each season
  
• No Safety certificates or Seaman's book required
• Very simple medical exam - can be conducted with family doctor
  
• Free food and accommodation onboard (shared for 2 same gender crew)
• Possibility to take paid days off, sick days and vacation during the season

Requirements:

• Age: min. 18 years old
• Preferably experienced within the hotel industry and/ or previous ship experience.
• Stress resistant, calm under pressure, team player with positive attitude.
• Open minded, independent and flexible with strong customer focus.
• Professional attitude and appearance, reliable and hard-working able to work long shifts.
• Crew on board river cruises have to be ready for mixed duties and multitasking.

🌍Languages vs Nationality Requirements: 

• Good English skills (written & verbal) required for all positions. 
• German-speakers (advanced level) can also be be considered with basic English.
• EU nationals can apply and join during whole season without visas.
• Non-EU nationals apply for D type German visa before joining, thus may apply only before season starts.
• Non-EU nationals that speak no German language may be considered only for culinary positions OR if they have strong previous cruise ship experieence in the same position.
