We help people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. We're looking for a6Complex Needs EBI Practitioners to join our Gambling Prevention Team, supporting individuals with complex needs through early intervention, engagement and person-centred support.

About the Role
As a Complex Needs EBI Practitioner, you will provide tailored, person-centred support to adults experiencing gambling-related harm, many of whom will have multiple and complex needs. Working across community settings and alongside partner agencies, you'll deliver EBIs, undertake assessments, develop support plans and help individuals access the services they need to improve their health, wellbeing and recovery.
You'll play a key role in engaging people who may be vulnerable or hard to reach, ensuring they receive compassionate, holistic support that addresses the wider factors affecting their lives.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver Enhanced Brief Interventions (EBIs), assessments and personalised support to individuals affected by gambling-related harm and complex needs.
- Develop and review recovery and support plans, helping people reduce harm, improve wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with health professionals, voluntary organisations and statutory partners to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage risk effectively, ensuring safeguarding and confidentiality are embedded in all aspects of your work.
- Promote awareness of gambling-related harm and contribute to a collaborative, high-quality service that meets the needs of local communities.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Experience working with people affected by gambling, substance misuse, mental health or other complex needs within a health or social care setting.
- A good understanding of gambling-related harm, safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and person-centred support.
- Experience undertaking assessments, managing caseloads and working collaboratively with partner agencies.
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills, with experience maintaining accurate case records.
- A flexible approach, a willingness to travel across the service area and a passion for supporting people to achieve their goals.
