About the role
- We are seeking SDK Software Engineers to build the host-side SDK, APIs, and tools that let customers integrate Lyte’s perception hardware into their products. You will shape the developer experience for everyone who builds on Lyte.Â
What you'll do
- Design and develop the host-platform SDK and APIs (C/C++ and Python) for Lyte’s sensing productsÂ
- Build host drivers, data streaming, and device configuration/control interfacesÂ
- Develop sample applications, reference integrations, and developer documentationÂ
- Ensure cross-platform support (Linux, Windows) and clean, stable API designÂ
- Optimize host-side data pipelines for throughput and latencyÂ
- Work with firmware and perception teams to expose device capabilitiesÂ
- Support customer integration and debug SDK issuesÂ
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldÂ
- 5+ years developing SDKs, libraries, or systems software in C/C++ (and Python)Â
- Strong API design and cross-platform development skillsÂ
- Experience with device communication (USB, PCIe, Ethernet) and data streamingÂ
- Solid understanding of memory management, concurrency, and performance optimizationÂ
- Excellent documentation and developer-experience mindsetÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience shipping SDKs used by external developersÂ
- Sensor, camera, or LiDAR data-pipeline experienceÂ
- Python bindings (pybind11) or packaging experienceÂ
- ROS / ROS 2 integrationÂ
- CUDA expertiseÂ
- Robotics or autonomous systems backgroundÂ
