Registered Nurse, 36 Hour (Day/Night rotation)

Department: Med Surg

Schedule: 6 West Telemetry, 36 Hour (D/N) 12 Hour Shifts  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

• Delivernursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients 

• Communicatewith various health care team members, patients, and their families 

• Coordinate and delegateappropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues 

• Update and manage patient records 

• Enter and interpret computerized data/information 

• Follow guidelines and policiesestablished by BMCHS

• Assistthe leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 

• Certification in basic life support (BLS) required

• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certificationrequired90 days ofhire

• PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire

EXPERIENCE:

• 1+ years of RN experience preferred 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills 

• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities 

• Basiccomputerproficiency 

Compensation Range:
