Location:Â Washington DC metropolitan area/ Manassas, VA
Position Type: Full-time, direct hire with client
Schedule: Variable based on project demands (typical hours 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
Compensation: Competitive hourly pay with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and 401(k)
Responsibilities:
• Assist with rigging and machinery moving operations using forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and other equipment
• Perform bull rigging and support controlled movement, positioning, and placement of loads
• Work alongside Foreman and crew to execute job plans safely and efficiently
• Assist with leveling, aligning, and anchoring equipment during installation
• Support steel erection and assembly activities as needed on job sites
• Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety meetings and training
• Maintain clear communication with crew members and supervisors on job progress
• Help load, unload, and secure equipment and materials for transport
• Travel to job sites and support all on-site activities as directed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with daily housekeeping duties
• Complete required paperwork and assist with basic job documentation
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on rigging or machinery moving experience
• Experience with bull rigging and manual load control techniques preferred
• Familiarity with forklifts, skates, jacks, and basic crane-assisted rigging operations
• Understanding of rigging safety practices and proper equipment usage
• Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to travel and work a variable schedule based on project needs
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
