DevOps Engineer

Ridango Group is one of the world's most experienced providers of account-based ticketing, fleet management, real-time passenger information, data-driven insights, and route optimisation systems. We're on a mission to make public transport smarter and more efficient through technology.

We're looking for aDevOps Engineerto join our team in Estonia or Slovenia (Ljubljana, Maribor). Candidates must already be based in one of these two countries.

What you'll do:

Infrastructure

• Keep Ridango's infrastructure stack running reliably: servers, Kubernetes clusters, databases, monitoring and backups
• Set up and manage virtual and on-prem servers, including monitoring, logging and backups
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments for infra resources, reducing manual operation
• Operate Kubernetes clusters (cloud and on-prem) and migrate workloads onto them
• Help design, build and run the Kubernetes-based AVL 2.0 platform, with a strong focus on availability, redundancy and DR

Automation

• Build and maintain infrastructure as code and configuration automation (Ansible, Salt, Terraform)
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments, reducing manual operations

Security and compliance

• Apply strict access and security principles across our infrastructure
• Drive improvements from our cybersecurity roadmap and help us meet ISMS requirements and keep our ISO 27001 certification
• Work with our InfoSec Board on access governance, logging, security controls and audits

Operations

• Resolve infrastructure incidents, prioritise tickets and take part in 2nd-level on-call
• Work closely with Engineering, Support and Internal IT on deployments, performance, incident handling, VPN, certificates and identity integrations

What we're looking for:

• Strong hands-on skills in Linux, networking, PostgreSQL and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC tooling (Ansible, Salt and/or Terraform)
• Experience designing and running highly available, redundant systems, including disaster recovery
• A security-first mindset and awareness of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001/ISMS experience is a plus)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to dig deep, including into open-source code
• Good collaboration and communication skills, and readiness to take part in on-call
• Fluent English

Nice to have:

• Experience migrating existing systems to Kubernetes
• Background in public transport, mobility or other mission-critical systems
