Not enough detail in this posting to match

We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented Reward Analyst to provide analytical and operational support across reward and workforce planning. Working closely with the Reward and Workforce Planning Partner, you will support job benchmarking, market analysis, compensation-cycle activities and workforce reporting, while helping to maintain accurate reward and job-architecture data.

Despite big improvements in healthcare in our lifetimes, today millions of people in the UK still live in poor health as they get older. Diseases like cancer, dementia, diabetes, and heart disease affect the lives of many people in our communities. Our goal is to create a world-leading resource for health research, to improve our understanding and spot the patterns of how and why common diseases start, so treatments can begin sooner and be more effective.

Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will provide analytical and operational support across reward and workforce-planning activities, including job architecture, role evaluation, benefits analysis and HR system development. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Gather, organise and analyse market data, and prepare initial job-matching recommendations for review by the Reward and Workforce Planning Partner.
  • Maintain accurate records of benchmark matches, market data and supporting rationale, as well as job, level, benchmark and salary-range information.
  • Support salary survey submissions and the maintenance of job architecture documentation, job families and role information.
  • Complete data-quality checks and reconcile information across HR, reward and workforce-planning records, escalating discrepancies and data risks.
  • Support annual salary-review and promotion cycles by preparing and validating employee, salary and eligibility data, maintaining trackers and audit records, and supporting system uploads and user testing.
  • Maintain headcount and workforce-planning data, prepare analysis and reports, and identify trends, anomalies or data-quality issues.
  • Respond to routine process and data queries, escalating policy questions, exceptions and sensitive cases.
  • Handle employee and compensation information securely and in accordance with data-protection requirements.

We recognise that candidates may have developed relevant experience through different career paths and welcome applications from those who can demonstrate many, though not necessarily all, of the skills and experience listed below:

  • Experience in reward, compensation, people analytics, HR data or another analytical role.
  • Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, data validation and organising datasets.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and patterns.
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking work.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee data appropriately.
  • The ability to work within defined methodologies and governance processes, manage assigned activities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders across the organisation.
  • An understanding of job benchmarking and market-pricing concepts, or a clear interest in developing this expertise.

Experience supporting a salary-review, bonus or promotion cycle; exposure to salary surveys, job evaluation or compensation benchmarking; experience with an HR information system or compensation platform; or experience producing regular people or headcount reports would be useful.
